The Dandelion Award
The contribution of the Liberated Way to acknowledge blogging excellence on WordPress.
Liberated Way thanks all those who nominated it for blogging awards; in return the Dandelion Award was created to acknowledge those blogs which in the opinion of this writer deserves recognition.
The Dandelion Award comes with no conditions, thus the awarded blog can display the image if they wish to do so, but has to do nothing else.
The Liberated Way will award one blog each Sunday the Dandelion Award, where it will write a review about the blog with the reasons for the award. There will be a page created listing all the Dandelion Award winners, with a link and description of their blog.
The image above is one of my photos of a dandelion in Abbey Fields, Colchester near the Roman Circus (think Ben-Hur). The dandelion means “lions tooth”, is a colourful yellow flower that comes out in spring. Honey bees love dandelions, which they flock to in spring for the nectar. When pollinated the dandelion produces seeds that many children have enjoyed blowing onto the wind where they travel over wide areas to seed as new dandelions.
The following is the criteria I am looking for in a blog to win the Dandelion Award:
- The blog is full of practical wisdom that can be used in life by the reader.
- The blog is inspirational, that makes me go “wow”.
- The blog and its writing is well presented in a creative way.
- The blog is updated on a regular basis.
- The blog is developing a close relationship with its readers.

Now I must say I will be WOW-ing at your thoughts!!! What a wonderful idea to acknowledge the fellow bloggers in this vast blogosphere!! Believe me, what a SHOT!!!! I loved it!!
Keep up the good work Alex!
This Dandelion award’s first nomination is YOURSELF! Lol! You fulfill the criteria too well!
Warm Wishes,
-Naima.
Hi Naima, there are many deserving blogs out there, and I decided to mark those blogs with a slightly different type of award.
And I think that is enough of an evidence to your creativity Alex
Great Day!
-Naima.
Thanks again for your kind comment
You owe it the way you ace it
What a lovely idea, great picture too. Did I not hear that England had done away with all the dandelions? I always wondered how true that was.
Dandelions of the version in the image are common throughout the UK, though they only flower for a short period in spring.
Perfect!
Nice way to give back!
Yes
The great ideas never stop flowing. Very nice.
Everyone is creative
An award any blogger should be honored to receive. Well done!
I hope so
Will you publish the nominees? I’m interested to know what you find inspiring? Thanks.
Hello sariel, yes I will. There will be a blog post on the winner each Sunday, and they will appear on a list on a blog page.
